Waiting list privacy notice

This notice covers the Waveo launch waiting list and this website. The music platform is not yet open to the public.
Who is responsible
George Senghore trading as Waveo is the controller of your personal information. A dedicated public privacy contact is being arranged.
What we use and why
We use the email address you submit to send Waveo launch and early-access updates. We rely on your consent, given when you join the waiting list. Providing an email is optional, but we need it to send those updates. Joining does not create a music-platform account or subscribe you to BuildNDrop marketing.
Our hosting services also process technical request information, such as IP address, browser information and request time, to deliver and protect the website. Our legitimate interest is running a reliable service and preventing abuse. We do not use the waiting list to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Services that process information
MailerLite stores the Waveo waiting list and sends email updates. The signup request passes through our Netlify-hosted signup service on buildndrop.com. Waveo uses Render and Cloudflare for website infrastructure. This shared signup infrastructure does not authorise BuildNDrop marketing to Waveo subscribers.
The page loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives technical request information when your browser requests them. MailerLite may record email delivery and engagement information, such as opens and link clicks, to help us understand whether updates reach subscribers.
Service providers may process information outside the UK. Their privacy information describes their processing and international-transfer arrangements: MailerLite, Netlify, Render, Cloudflare and Google. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.
How long we keep information
We keep your active subscription while it is needed for the launch and early-access updates you requested. We review it when that programme ends; we will not treat it as permission for unrelated marketing. You can unsubscribe earlier. A minimal record of an unsubscribe request may be retained to prevent further emails. Technical logs are retained according to the hosting providers' operational retention settings.
Your choices and rights
Use the unsubscribe link in an update to withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. You have rights to request access to or correction of your information, deletion, restriction of processing, and a portable copy where applicable. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are subject to applicable conditions.
If you are concerned about our handling of your information, please contact us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
We will update this notice if the operator or use of your information changes. Separate information will be provided before the full platform begins collecting account, upload or purchase information.
